Software Engineering Intern
“This summer, I worked at Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems as a software engineering intern. Lockheed Martin is a defense contractor with worldwide interests aiming to stay “ahead of ready” and provide the best products to various customers. Working with a team of experienced software engineers to keep people safe was an incredibly enriching and rewarding experience. I learned a lot by working at such a large site with various engineers on new and innovative technologies serving an important purpose. Classes such as data structures, algorithms, and especially operating systems were critical to my success in my position. I contributed to a significant effort regarding our product, and seeing my research and implementation come to fruition made me feel empowered as a member of my team and as an engineer. I’m proud to say I’ll be returning to Lockheed Martin next summer to continue work on the product.”
